Honorable Mentions…
I saw the TV Glow
I couldn’t even tell you what this movie was about — I feel like I’d need to rewatch it, fully awake this time! But here’s the gist: Owen, an awkward young boy, meets Maddy, an older, cynical girl at school. She invites him over to watch her favorite teen show, The Pink Opaque, and soon they’re both completely hooked, bonding over their shared obsession. It’s weird, unsettling, and I loved it!
La femme et let TGV
Tells the story of a lonely woman who waves at a passing train every day from a window in her house only to find a letter from the driver who acknowledges her presence. They start writing to each other. In the end this movie is a quick reminder to not let life pass you by.
