Honorable Mentions….

Flamin’ Hot

In her directorial debut, Eva Longoria does a remarkable job of telling a story that embodies the American Dream, from rags to riches or janitor to CEO. Regardless of the rumors about the story's authenticity, the script and acting are exceptional. The film features several clever and humorous moments that had me laughing out loud, and it skillfully blends culture, identity and a loving family. Be sure to have a bag of Flaming Hot Cheetos ready—you'll be craving them.

The After

This 18-minute movie captures an incredible range of emotions. It transitions from a simple, loving, yet mundane life to an unexpected tragedy that haunts a young man forever. What I found most compelling is the message we often hear: you never know what someone has been through. You see the main character moving on, but still pierced by profound grief. It's an honest portrayal that leaves a lasting impact.
